"Psychic Fair Benefit" & "2^nd Annual Indigenous Peoples Day Traditional Pow-wow"- Two up coming events which will benefit Native American community programs that give opportunities to learn the culture, traditions, and rights of Native Americans.

"Psychic Fair Benefit" Rocky River, Ohio – Saturday, September 27, 2008 at West Shore Unitarian Universalist Church 20401 Hilliard Blvd, Rocky River, Ohio. Admission is $3 at the door from the hours of 10:00a.m- 5:00p.m.  Come and receive a reading by some of northern Ohio's best psychics, $20 for 15 minutes.  Everyone can choose from a number of readers using astrology, chart reading, mediums, clairvoyance, tarot, and palmistry. There will also be therapists offering massage, ionizing footbaths, and reiki as well as vendors selling Navajo Tacos, Native crafts, jewelry, and art, gems/stones, homemade candles, and more.

"2^nd Annual Indigenous Peoples' Day Traditional Pow-wow" Berea, Ohio – Saturday, October 11, and Sunday October 12, 2007 at Baldwin Wallace College, 96 Beech Street (just across from the Student Activities Center). Admission is $6 for adults, $3 seniors/ BWstudents, & $3 Ages 12-18. Family and Group Rate Available, please call 216.322.7098 for details.  From the hours of 10:00am-till-dusk, you and the whole family can come and join the gathering to celebrate and connect with Native American culture, song, dance, food, and art. The Pow-wow will include Native American rituals, greetings, variety styles of song and dance. There will also be a variety of vendors with authentic hand-made Native American crafts, supplies, jewelry, art, and massage.

The Committee of 500 Years of Dignity and Resistance and Lake Erie Native American Council are non-profit (501/c3) organizations with long histories of education organizing and advocacy for the Native American Community.

 The Committee of 500 Years of Dignity and Resistance is a coalition of community organizations and community activists in Northeast Ohio that strives to enhance and protect the cultural human rights and heritage rights of indigenous people living in Northeast Ohio.  The Committee of 500 Years is a non-profit 501c(3) organization that fosters education for the betterment of the Native Americans through presentations, street theater, protests, and Wahoo-burning.

The Lake Erie Native American Council fosters development of the Native American Community in Northeast Ohio. Through educational and cultural activities within the Native American community, LENAC strives to increase the awareness and appreciation of Native skills and crafts. The Lake Erie Native Council also organizes events for the wider public that educate citizens of Cleveland and its surrounding communities about Native American traditions, and culture.
